Viscosity is the internal friction of a liquid. When the lubricating oil undergoes relative movement due to external force, the resistance between oil molecules prevents the lubricating oil from flowing smoothly, and its resistance is called viscosity.
To determine the viscosity of oil products, it is recommended to use the kinematic viscosity tester produced by our company. This instrument uses a color touch screen with a high degree of automation. It can detect two samples at the same time and can store 1000 sets of experimental data.
The following are the matters needing attention when the kinematic viscosity tester detects the viscosity of oil products:
1. When the glass tank is not filled with water, no electricity is allowed.
2. The bath liquid in the bathtub should not contain impurities and floats, so as not to block the test hole. The new bath liquid often has bubbles when it is heated, which will affect the test, especially if there are bubbles in the test hole, the impact is serious. After placing the capillary, check whether there are bubbles in the test hole. If there are bubbles in the kinematic viscosity tester, use a hose to blow out the bubbles or use a clean toothbrush to remove the bubbles.
3. Before use, it must be grounded reliably.
4. The time interval between restarting the instrument is more than 15 minutes, and the instrument is turned on in the cold bath state, and it takes 45 minutes before it can be used.
5. When using a full-immersion thermometer to calibrate the temperature, the effective scale of the thermometer shall not expose the liquid level of the constant temperature bath.
6. The instrument is not allowed to be stored or used in a humid, corrosive gas environment.
7. Pay attention to the height of the upper mouth when clamping the capillary to avoid water entering the test tube.
8. If the kinematic viscosity tester is used for a period of time or the oil level measurement is found to be insensitive, the detection hole on the test clamp should be cleaned in time.
