The contact resistance tester mainly applies current to the contact point to be tested, measures the voltage at both ends of the contact point, and calculates the contact resistance value.

The specific working principle is as follows:

1. The instrument DC power supply applies a predetermined current to the contact point to be tested.

2. The current passes through the contact point and forms a voltage drop. By measuring the voltage at both ends of the contact point, the contact resistance value can be obtained.

3. Based on the magnitude of the contact resistance value, determine whether the contact point is in good condition and meets the requirements.

4. The instrument conducts multiple sets of measurements of contact resistance and compares the measurement results to determine whether the contact point meets the standard.

It should be noted that the working principle of the contact resistance tester is relatively simple, but in practical use, due to uneven current distribution, surface oxidation, and other reasons, it may affect the measurement results. Therefore, before conducting testing, it is necessary to clean and treat the contact points to minimize measurement errors.
