Transformer short-circuit impedance test is a crucial process in transformer maintenance and diagnostics which helps to identify the performance and reliability of the transformer.
This test instrument is used to determine the transformer's short-circuit impedance which is a crucial parameter used for understanding the transformer's performance. The test instrument is designed to provide precise and accurate measurements using advanced technology and digital signal processing.

Operation Method
Initial Setup
Connect the power line, test leads, and grounding wire according to the wiring instructions and precautions in this manual. After turning on the power, enter the main computer interface. Click the program on the screen to enter the test program interface.
Parameter Setting
Before testing, set the parameters. Click the parameter setting button to enter the parameter setting interface. Click on any input box to set the corresponding parameter.
Storage Number: Used to designate which record number the test will be stored under.
Current Temperature: Transformer temperature at the time of testing.
Primary and Secondary Voltage: Rated primary and secondary voltages of the transformer.
Transformer Number: Used to store information about the transformer under test.
Transformer Capacity: Rated capacity of the transformer under test.
Correction Temperature: The temperature to which the transformer test results need to be corrected.
Short-Circuit Resistance: Short-circuit resistance of the secondary side. If negligible, enter 0.
Test Method:
Three-phase three-wire: Two-wattmeter method
Three-phase four-wire: Three-wattmeter method
Three-phase split-phase: Tests three-phase transformers using a single-phase power supply
Single-phase: Tests single-phase transformers
Winding Form: The winding configuration on the wiring side of the transformer under test (e.g., low-voltage side shorted, high-voltage side wired). Input the winding form of the high-voltage side (star or delta connection).
After completing the settings, click the Save Modification button to store the configured information in the database.
Impedance Measurement
Click the Impedance Measurement button to perform impedance measurement.
Click the Start button to begin the test. Click the Parameter or Impedance button to switch the displayed parameter content. After the test is completed, click the End button, then click the Save button to store the results in the database (using the record number set in Storage Number).
Waveform Display
After the test has started and before it is completed, click the Waveform button to display the primary and secondary voltage waveforms currently applied to the transformer. Click the corresponding input phase to choose whether to display or hide the waveform of a particular phase.
Harmonic Analysis
After the test has started and before it is completed, click the Harmonic Analysis button to analyze the harmonic content of the primary and secondary voltages for each phase.
Record Query and Export
After the test is completed, test results can be queried and exported to a USB flash drive or uploaded to a computer.
The number of records in the database is displayed on the left, and the detailed information of a selected record appears on the right. Use the main scroll bar to scroll the screen up/down or left/right to view all information. Select a record and click the Print button to print the test results on‑site via the printer. Insert a USB flash drive and click Export to export the entire database to the flash drive (wait two to three seconds after insertion for the instrument to detect the USB drive).
The USB database adopts the Dbase 3 format, which can be directly opened, edited, and printed using Excel spreadsheet software - no background management software installation is required, making user data management more convenient.
