Test method for vacuum degree test of circuit breakers

Apr 20, 2023

Circuit breaker vacuum test is a testing method that tests whether a circuit breaker can pass electrical loads and remain in relay state under vacuum conditions. The steps are as follows:

1. Place the circuit breaker in the vacuum device and perform vacuum pumping.

2. Under vacuum, power on the circuit breaker to conduct a short circuit test, with a duration of generally 30 seconds.

3. After the circuit breaker has not experienced any abnormalities during the short circuit test, a current load test is conducted on the circuit breaker, with a current range generally of 70% of the rated current.

4. After maintaining the current load test for a period of time, check whether the circuit breaker is in normal condition. If the state is normal, it proves that the circuit breaker can pass through the current load under vacuum and remain in the relay state.

5. Finally, release the vacuum, remove the circuit breaker and inspect it to ensure that it meets the requirements.

It should be noted that during the vacuum degree test of the circuit breaker, the temperature and pressure during the test should be controlled to ensure the accuracy and safety of the test. At the same time, testing parameters and conditions should be determined based on different circuit breaker models and specifications.
