Operation method and precautions of insulating oil dielectric strength tester

Jan 15, 2023

1. Before using this instrument, please read this operation manual carefully;

2. The operator of insulating oil dielectric strength tester should be familiar with the general use of electrical equipment or analytical instruments;

3. The insulation oil withstand voltage tester can be used indoors and outdoors, but it should be kept away from places such as rain, corrosive gas, high concentration dust, high temperature or direct sunlight;

4. The oil cup should be kept clean. During the shutdown period, sufficient dry and qualified insulating oil shall be added for soaking to keep the oil cup free from moisture and electrode oxidation;

5. After one month of continuous use, the electrode shall be inspected and maintained regularly. Check and adjust the electrode gap to restore it to the standard value; Observe with a magnifying glass whether there are dark spots on the surface of the electrode. If so, wipe the surface of the electrode with a silk cloth to restore it to its original state;

6. The maintenance and commissioning of the instrument must be completed by professional personnel;

7. Before connecting the power supply, carefully check whether the connecting wire is firm, and the instrument shell must be reliably grounded!

8. After the power is turned on, the operator is not allowed to touch the oil cup box cover shell to avoid the risk of electric shock!

9. During the use of the insulation oil withstand voltage tester, if any abnormality is found, cut off the power immediately!

Cleaning of insulating oil dielectric strength tester oil cup:

1. Cleaning method of insulating oil dielectric strength tester oil cup:

(1) Wipe the electrode surface and electrode rod repeatedly with clean silk cloth;

(2) Adjust electrode gap with standard gauge;

(3) Wash with anhydrous ethanol for 3-4 times, and then dry with a hair dryer. Then clean the test oil sample for 2-3 times;

2. Cleaning method for agitator of insulating oil dielectric strength tester:

(1) Wipe the stirring paddle repeatedly with clean silk cloth until there are no fine particles on the surface. Do not touch the stirring paddle directly with your hands

(2) Clamp the stirring paddle with tweezers, wash it with anhydrous ethanol for 2-3 times, and then dry it with a blower;

(3) Clamp the stirring paddle with tweezers, immerse it in the oil sample to be measured and wash it for 2-3 times for standby.
