How to clean and maintain the insulation oil dielectric strength tester?

Jan 02, 2024

Instrument maintenance

1. The maintenance, care, and adjustment of instruments should be carried out by trained personnel

2. This instrument can be used both indoors and outdoors, but it should be avoided from being exposed to rain, corrosive gases, excessive dust, high temperatures, or direct sunlight

3. The oil cup should be kept clean, and dry and qualified insulating oil should be stored during the shutdown period to keep the oil cup free from moisture

4. After using the electrode continuously for another month, an inspection should be conducted to check for any changes in the electrode gap. Use a magnifying glass to observe whether there is any darkening on the electrode surface. If this phenomenon occurs, wipe the electrode surface with a silk cloth and readjust the electrode gap to meet the requirements

Cleaning method for oil cup

1) Repeatedly wipe the electrode surface and electrode rod with clean silk cloth

2) Adjust the electrode gap with a standard gauge

3) Wash 3-4 times with petroleum ether or ethanol, then dry with a hair dryer and clean 2-3 times with the oil sample to be tested

Cleaning method of agitator

1) Wipe the mixer repeatedly with a clean silk cloth until there are no small particles on the surface. Avoid touching the surface of the mixer with your hands

2) Clamp the stirrer with tweezers, immerse it in anhydrous ethanol and wash repeatedly, then blow dry with a hair dryer

3) Clamp the stirrer with tweezers, immerse it in the oil sample to be tested, and wash it repeatedly
