The system is specifically engineered for comprehensive power cable diagnostics. It is capable of detecting faults in cables rated up to 35 kV, accurately calibrating cable length, and precisely determining both the burial direction and depth of underground cables.

Main Features
The cable fault tester is equipped with a Windows operating system and a touch-screen interface, providing intuitive and efficient operation. Wireless expert online guidance enables remote support, while the scientific cable management system ensures organized data handling. Real-time report generation facilitates immediate documentation, and the 10-pulse and 10-flashover waveform superposition analysis enhances fault identification accuracy. Key Functions
The instrument features a sampling frequency of 100 MHz, delivering a minimum resolution of 0.5 m (at 100 m/µs). Fully automatic continuous sampling ensures that every discharge waveform is captured without omission. Three test methods are supported: the flashover method, low-voltage pulse method, and multiple waveform analysis method.
Main Specifications
The pulse generator provides an amplitude of 100 Vpp with selectable pulse widths of 0.1 µs and 2 µs. The measuring distance ranges from a minimum of 15 m to a maximum of 30 km. Coarse measurement absolute error is ±10 m, with a relative error of ±1%. The instrument complies with DL/T849.1-2004, which specifies an error tolerance of ≤ ±(1% L + 20) m, where L represents the cable length.

Usage: Cable fault pointing device is to determine the power cable failure point by means of acoustics. An electronic flashover is generated by means of an impingement discharge generator. The acoustic and magnetic signals of the electronic flashover wave are picked up and amplified by the corresponding probes, and are judged by hearing and visual. To determine the exact location of the fault point, that is, to complete the precise positioning task within the rough measurement range of the cable fault point.
