I. Characteristics

Matters needing attention
1. When the glass tank is not filled with water, it should not be powered on.
2. When connecting each line, the instrument must not be inserted into the power plug.
3. The bath liquid in the bathtub cannot have impurities and floating objects, so as not to block the test hole,
4. Before use, it must be grounded reliably.
5. When using a full immersion thermometer to correct the temperature, the effective scale of the thermometer shall not be exposed to the liquid surface of the constant temperature bath.
6. The instrument is not allowed to be stored or used in a humid and corrosive gas environment.
7. Pay attention to the height of the upper mouth when clamping the capillary to avoid water entering the viscometer.
8. In the process of using the instrument, if there is a fault, please ask professionals to repair it and contact us in time.
9. The power supply must be well grounded.
10. Do not add cold water when the glass tank is not cooled down to prevent the tank from bursting.
Sampling method
Glass viscometers must be cleaned before use. Otherwise, the test repeatability will be poor. (For the detailed cleaning method of the viscometer, please refer to GB/T265-88.)
Invert the glass viscometer, insert the thin end into the sample to be tested, and close the thick end. As shown in the figure above, use a rubber hose to connect the ear wash ball to the viscometer, suck the sample into the viscometer from the thin end to the upper scale line, and then take the viscometer out of the sample to be tested, and the sampling is completed. Note that when taking out the viscometer from the sample, you should pinch the ear-washing bulb firmly to prevent the sample from being inhaled or discharged. No air bubbles can be generated in the inhaled sample.
After the sampling is completed, the glass capillary is straightened and clamped to the preheating rack, and then placed in a water bath at a constant temperature for at least 15 minutes to prepare for the test.
