On June 24th, the No.1 transformer in the expansion project of Xingtai 1000 kV ultra-high voltage substation located in Xinhe County, Hebei Province, was put into operation. The total capacity of the substation increased from 6 million kVA to 9 million kVA, effectively improving the acceptance capacity of external power transmission.
The Xingtai ultra-high voltage substation was built to meet the development needs of high-end electricity demand in provinces such as Hebei, Shandong, Henan, and Anhui. This substation adopts ultra-high voltage technology and can achieve power transmission of 500 kV and 1000 kV, making it one of the earliest substations to achieve ultra-high voltage transmission in China.
The main equipment of Xingtai ultra-high voltage substation includes substation equipment, power automation equipment, and protection equipment.
