The AAS6000 series atomic absorption spectrophotometer is a single-beam instrument that is used for function control and data processing by a computer and an internal CPU chip. It is used to determine the content of constant, trace, trace metal elements and semi-metal elements in various substances.

Atoms are usually in the ground state. For each element, the energy required for the transition from the ground state of the atom to the excited state is certain. This specific energy is called the characteristic line. In atomic absorption spectroscopy, a hollow cathode lamp is used as a light source to emit a characteristic wavelength of an element. After passing through the element's atomic vapor, the atomic vapor absorbs the characteristic wavelength light, and the element atomic concentration is calculated according to the degree of light absorption.
The instrument provides three reading modes of continuous, holding and peak height for the determination of absorbance, concentration and emission intensity. It has atomic absorption, background absorption, background absorption and four signal modes. The reading time is optional from 0.5 seconds to 99 seconds. The instrument has eight computer-controllable hollow cathode lamp holders. The various working conditions of the instrument are: lamp number, lamp current, negative high voltage, working wavelength, slit, burner position, ignition/quenching, combustion ratio adjustment and other conditions All settings can be controlled by software. It has functions such as automatic gain/automatic zero adjustment, background correction, automatic energy balance, automatic peak search/wavelength scanning, and automatic peak search according to the peak search method. All readings, measurement results, calibration curves and operating conditions can be stored or printed by the printer.
