The High Voltage Electrical National Engineering Laboratory is equipped with 1 set of 1800kV/2A power frequency test system and 1 set of 1200kV/4A power frequency test system, 1 set of 4800kV/720kJ impact test system, 1 set of 2400kV/240kJ impact test system, and 1 set of 4200kV cutoff device. It is equipped with a 2000kV/500mA DC test system, forming the ability to carry out all insulation type tests and research tests for AC 1100kV and DC ± 800kV high-voltage electrical equipment.
