1. First, check that the performance of the zinc oxide arrester tester is normal after the equipment is turned on, there is no abnormal fault point, and the power is sufficient;
2. Check whether the surface of the equipment is dry and clean, and whether the power cord, connecting cable and grounding wire are in good condition;
3. After connecting the grounding terminal of the equipment to the grounding terminal of the high-voltage box, the grounding wire from the grounding terminal of the high-voltage box is firmly connected to the ground network, and the discharge wire is led out. Then connect the measurement and control box and the high-voltage box with the connecting cable.
4. The lower end of the test product is connected to the "test product" end of the high-voltage box, and the upper end is connected to the high-voltage end of the high-voltage box;
5. The high-voltage lead wire must be a wire with an insulating sheath to reduce the corona current of the high-voltage lead wire to the ground, and pay attention to the ground insulation.
6. After the test, be sure to reset the voltage and coarse adjustment button of the zinc oxide arrester tester to zero, turn off the high voltage, and after the green light is on, hang the ground wire on the high voltage end, and finally release the high voltage end or replace the test sample.
