Electrolyte replacement method for oil trace moisture analyzer

Aug 06, 2021

1. First, prepare a piece of clean filter paper, remove the two different drying tubes of the electrolysis cell and put them on the filter paper; take out the working electrode for electrolysis, and pour the electrolyte in the cathode chamber (electrode during electrolysis) Pour out the electrolyte that passes through the anode chamber (electrolyzer bottle) slowly (be careful not to pour out the traditional stirrer).

2. Generally, there is no need to clean the electrolytic cell. The pollution must be strictly cleaned according to the third operation.

3. Cleaning: The electrolytic cell bottle, drying tube, sealing plug, and measuring electrode materials can be cleaned with anhydrous methanol and other non-aqueous solvents. If necessary, they can also be cleaned with water data; the cathode chamber (electrode during electrolysis) should not be used as much as possible. Water and cleaning are required. If the water system is used for cleaning, it must be thoroughly dried. After cleaning, it must be dried in an oven at about 60 degrees Celsius for 4 hours, and then cooled in various natural environments in the oven. Note: The two plugs, cables and rubber caps will inevitably touch the cleaning fluid during cleaning.

4. In the measuring electrode, the two drying tubes, the injection plug, the grounded sealing port, which is attached to the corresponding position, and gently rotate the vacuum grease evenly coated to form a better seal. Use a funnel to develop about 100-120 ml of electrolyte separately and inject a large amount of water into the cathode and anode chambers of the rapid tester to keep the liquid levels in the cathode and anode chambers basically the same. Install the sealing plug and the drying tube, and gently control the rotation to make it have a better seal.

5. Insert the measuring electrode plug of the electrolytic cell into the measuring socket of the host, and insert the electrolytic electrode plug into the electrolytic socket of the host. Shake a few ponds, turn on the electrolysis and stir button. If the time exceeds the iodine state, inject 50U1 cells with an appropriate amount of purified water syringe (the needle should be inserted at the level) for extraction. Observe the color of the electrolytic solution and start timing at any time. Turn off the stirring and shake the electrolytic cell evenly so that the moisture and electrolyte in the air in the electrolytic cell can make full use of the reaction, and then turn on the stirring to start the sample injection test.

6. The color of the stored electrolyte is red-brown or brown-black. The color is light yellow in normal use.

7. Electrolyte failure: The following three conditions may fail.

(1) The electrolyte has been used for more than one month;

(2) The electrolyte solution becomes darker (iodine in non-passing state);

(3) It is difficult for us to reach the end of the electrolysis process. You can follow the steps of step 5 to repeatedly shake the electrolytic cell evenly several times.

8. Due to environmental humidity, hot air flushes, as is often done, silica gel leakage or other reasons for insoluble solid sample inlet pads, it is not easy to reach the end point. According to the fifth point, the cells are shaken evenly.

pay attention! Be careful when changing reagents. Do not touch the chemical reagents by inhalation or with your hands. If it can come into contact with the reagents, rinse thoroughly with water. Because the reagent has a big smell and contains toxic ingredients, the laboratory should be well ventilated.
