Considerations for Signal Generators

Jul 31, 2022

Signal generators are widely used in production practice and scientific and technological fields. A circuit that can generate a variety of waveforms, such as triangular waves, sawtooth waves, rectangular waves (including square waves), and sine waves, is called a function signal generator.
Signal generator notes:
1) Using large-scale integrated circuits, there should be anti-static devices during debugging and maintenance to avoid damage to the instrument.
2) Do not use and store in places such as high temperature, high pressure, humidity, strong vibration, strong magnetic field, strong radiation, explosive environment, poor lightning protection conditions, poor dustproof conditions, and large changes in temperature and humidity.
3) Please use it in a relatively stable environment and provide good ventilation and heat dissipation conditions. During calibration testing, the enclosure of the test instrument or other equipment should be well grounded to avoid accidental damage.
4) When the fuse is blown, please remove the cause of the fault first. Notice! Before replacing the fuse, the power cord must be cut off from the AC mains power supply, the instrument and the circuit under test must be disconnected, and the power switch of the instrument must be turned off to avoid electric shock or personal injury. And only install fuses with current, voltage, and blowing speed ratings.
5) The load of the signal generator should not have high voltage, strong radiation or strong pulse signal, so as to prevent the damage of the instrument caused by the power return. Do not short-circuit the power output load to prevent overloading of the power amplifier circuit. When the display window is abnormal, the machine crashes, etc., just shut down the machine and restart it to return to normal.
6) In order to achieve the best effect, please preheat for 30min before use.
7) Non-professionals should not open the case or disassemble the instrument without authorization, so as not to affect the performance of the instrument or cause unnecessary losses.
