HZ-B+ Acoustic-Magnetic Cable Fault Pinpointer

The HZ-B+ acoustic magnetic synchronization cable fault pinpointer is a device used for locating faults in cables. The device works by measuring the time it takes for a wave sent through the cable to reflect back, and then using this information to pinpoint the exact location of the fault.

The device is typically used in conjunction with a sound magnetic synchronization cable tester, which sends the wave through the cable. Once the fault locator detects the reflected wave, it displays the distance to the fault on a screen or via audio feedback, allowing for easy and accurate fault location.

Process:

Continuous impulse discharge from front end

Fault point discharge sound propagates through ground above cable

Ground exploration sensor records the signal

Two Distance Calculation Methods:

Sound volume – intensity of impulse discharge noise

Time difference – between magnetic field signal (sync discharge) and acoustic signal reaching sensor
