The HZ-20A is a specialized instrument designed for both on-site and laboratory detection of lightning arrester electrical parameters. It is widely used for online monitoring of zinc oxide surge arresters (online testing) and laboratory maintenance (offline testing). The instrument complies with the People's Republic of China power industry standard DL474.5-92 "Guidelines for Field Insulation Testing – Arrester Testing."

Utilizing advanced microcomputer sampling and control technology, the HZ-20A measures key parameters of zinc oxide surge arresters under power frequency voltage, including:

The instrument displays voltage and current waveforms and provides printout of test data. A large-screen LCD with English menu prompts enhances human-machine interaction, while on-site waveform display facilitates real-time analysis.
