Transformer DC Winding Resistance Tester For Temperature Rise Heat Run Test
HZ-3220A Transformer DC Winding Resistance Tester for Temperature Rise Heat Run Test
I. General Introduction
The DC resistance test of transformers is required during factory tests of semi-finished and finished products, and again at installation, acceptance, and preventive maintenance by electric power departments.
The test identifies improper coil material, welding defects, loose connections, missing or broken strands, and other manufacturing or in-service faults.
Temperature-rise testing
Series-connected constant-current testing of high- and low-voltage windings is unsuitable for temperature-rise tests on power transmission transformers when the two windings have a large resistance difference. Using two separate instruments in that case can damage the equipment through mutual induction between the windings.
Instrument design
This tester uses a dual constant-current source, CPU-programmed charge and discharge sequences, and protection circuits. It is built for temperature-rise testing of transformers whose high- and low-voltage windings differ widely in resistance.
II. Performance Characteristics
High output current (up to 20A) and wide measurement range (up to 2kΩ), suitable for DC resistance and temperature rise tests of 35kV-class and below transformers.
Dual power supply design supports simultaneous or independent testing of high and low voltage sides.
Integrated protection functions: AC380V input misconnection alarm, wire breakage protection, anti-arcing protection, and audible discharge alarm. Clear indicators and robust protection circuits enhance reliability and prevent misoperation.
Large color touchscreen for intuitive operation and clear data display.
Automatic printing of temperature rise test reports at set intervals, with built-in data storage for easy recording.
Built-in perpetual calendar; stores 100 sets of standard test data and 3 sets of temperature rise test results. Data retention after power-off; includes a USB port for data export and temperature rise curve generation.
RS485 communication interface enables remote control and measurement with upper-computer software.
Includes temperature rise analysis software for automatic data processing and curve plotting.
