I.Purpose And Scope

The instrument is designed and made as per the National Standard of People's Republic of China GB/T8929 "Test Methods for Water Content of Crude Petroleum". It is suitable to determine water content of crude petroleum as per GB/T8929.

II. Main Technical Specification And Parameters

1. Power supply: AC 220 V±10%, 50 Hz;

2. Heater: By an electric heater. 500WX2, The heating power can be adjusted continuously.

3. Distillation flask: 1000 ml;

4. Water receiver: 5 ml, the smallest scale division is 0.05 ml.

5. Condenser: 400 mm±5 mm;

6. Ambient temperature: -10 ℃～+35 ℃;

7. Relative humidity: ≤85%;

Operation Methods And Attention

(I) Operation methods

1. Please carefully read the Operation Manual before use.

2. Please carefully read the National Standard of People's Republic of China GB/T8929 "Test Methods for Water content of Crude Petroleum" to acquaint and familiar with preparation, test procedures and test requirements.

3. Get ready for all test apparatus and materials as per GB/T8929.

4. Check outer shell of the instrument to make sure it is fine grounded. The power supply wire should have fine grounding end.

5. Make tests as per GB/T8929 and calculate test results.

(II) Attention

1. The instrument should be placed on a flat workbench.

2. Rotate the voltage adjustment knob on the panel of heating temperature controller (the potentiometer of heater power) anticlockwise to the end before it connects to the power supply, so that the heating power will be the smallest. Then increase the power gradually according to heating speed.

3. Please turn off power supply and place it in the ventilated and dry room after tests.

Warning: If there is any trouble appears, please cut off the power supply immediately. Then ask a professional to check and repair it. You can use it only after the problem is solved to avoid any accidents.
