1. Water entering petroleum products during transportation and storage.
2. Petroleum products have a certain degree of water absorption and can absorb and dissolve part of water from the atmosphere or in contact with water. Gasoline and kerosene are hardly mixed with water, but they are soluble in less than 0.01% water. It is difficult to remove all the few dissolved water.
2、 What are the main states in petroleum products?
1. Suspended: water is suspended in oil in the form of water droplets. It mainly occurs in heavy oil with high viscosity.
2. Floatation: water is evenly dispersed in oil in the form of tiny water droplets. This kind of finely dispersed emulsion is more difficult to separate from oil than suspended water due to the small particles of water droplets.
3. Dissolved state: water is dissolved in oil. The amount it can be dissolved in oil depends on the chemical composition and temperature of petroleum products. Generally, alkanes, cycloalkanes and alkenes have weak ability to dissolve water, while aromatic hydrocarbons can dissolve more water. The higher the temperature, the more water can be dissolved in the oil. Generally, the amount of dissolved water in gasoline, kerosene, diesel oil and some light lubricating oils is small and negligible.
3、 Adverse effects of moisture
1. When the water in petroleum products evaporates, it needs to absorb heat, which will reduce the heat value;
2. Moisture in light oil will cause excessive combustion
Cheng worsened. It can also bring dissolved salt into the cylinder, generate carbon deposit and increase the wear of the cylinder;
3. At low temperature, the water in the fuel will freeze, block the fuel pipe and filter, and hinder the fuel supply of the engine fuel system;
4. When there is water in the petroleum products, it will accelerate the oxidation and gelatinization of the oil;
5. When the lubricating oil has water, it will not only cause corrosion of engine parts, but also form steam when contacting with metal parts above 100 ℃, which will damage the lubricating oil film
