1, Power system testing and maintenance
1. Short circuit test of electrical equipment: used for short-circuit current testing of electrical equipment such as power transformers, circuit breakers, isolating switches, current transformers, etc. By simulating the current situation of the equipment during short-circuit faults, detecting the dynamic and thermal stability performance of the equipment, verifying its ability to withstand short-circuit conditions, and ensuring that the equipment can operate safely and reliably in the event of short-circuit faults during actual operation.
2. Relay protection verification: Provide high current signals for relay protection devices to verify their operational characteristics and accuracy. By adjusting the output current size and time of the high current generator, simulating the current changes under various fault conditions, and verifying whether the relay protection device can accurately and timely operate under different fault conditions, the safety protection function of the power system is guaranteed to be normal.
3. Equipment aging assessment: By applying varying degrees of high current to electrical equipment, observe the operating status and performance changes of the equipment under high current, and evaluate the degree of equipment aging. For example, long-term exposure to high currents may accelerate insulation aging of equipment, increase conductor heating, etc. Based on these changes, equipment maintenance and replacement plans can be reasonably arranged to extend the service life of equipment and improve the reliability of the power system.
2, Industrial electrical equipment testing and research and development
1. Motor overload capacity test: During the production and testing process of the motor, a high current generator can be used to test the overload capacity of the motor. By gradually increasing the load current of the motor until it reaches or exceeds several times its rated current, observe the operating state of the motor under overload conditions, such as changes in parameters such as speed, temperature, vibration, etc., evaluate the overload performance and reliability of the motor, and ensure that the motor can withstand possible overload situations during actual operation.
2. Generator performance testing: For generators, high current generators can be used to simulate the operation of the generator under different load conditions, detect the stability and accuracy of the output current, voltage, frequency and other parameters of the generator, as well as the short-circuit characteristics, load characteristics and other performance indicators of the generator. This helps optimize the design and control strategy of the generator, improve the power generation efficiency and power quality of the generator.
3. Electrical equipment research and development verification: In the research and development process of new electrical equipment, high current generators can be used as important testing tools to verify the design principles and performance indicators of the equipment. By applying different high current conditions to new equipment, the electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical characteristics of the equipment under high current are studied, and problems in the design are identified and improved, thereby improving the performance and reliability of the new equipment and promoting the continuous development of electrical equipment technology.
