Precautions for vacuum switch vacuum degree tester

May 29, 2021

There are some matters needing attention in the process of using electric power test equipment. Let’s look at the precautions of the vacuum switch vacuum degree tester:

1. The vacuum test should be carried out in a sunny and dry weather, and the surface of the vacuum bubble should be wiped clean. The leakage caused by the surface of the vacuum bubble will seriously affect the actual test result of the vacuum. For the vacuum degree test of the same vacuum switch, the interval between each test should be no less than 10 minutes. Otherwise, the test result will be distorted because the ionized air in the tube will not return to the normal state in time.

2. It is recommended not to test the vacuum degree of the same vacuum switch more than 3 times a day.

3. When testing the vacuum degree, the leak should be detected first, and then the quantitative test should be carried out after the leak is qualified.

4. The red cable connected to the red clip is a high-voltage cable, and the black cable connected to the black clip is an ordinary cable. In the actual wiring process, do not connect the black ordinary cable to the high-voltage output, so as to avoid serious leakage and cause test failure or endanger people and equipment.

5. When installing the excitation coil, its positioning indication line points to the middle seam of the arc extinguishing chamber connection.

6. During the test, the human body cannot touch the high voltage and magnetic field voltage output terminals, and the shell of the tester should be grounded.

7. The high-voltage output line and the ion current line should be separated to prevent interference.

8. Cut the magnetic field voltage line and short-circuit it quickly, otherwise the instrument and personal safety will be seriously damaged! Before the experiment, the yellow and green wires must be connected to the electromagnet and then the instrument; after the experiment, pull out the yellow and green test wires on the instrument separately (don't touch the exposed part of the plug-in with your hands).

9. After the test is completed, the power supply should be turned off, and the high-voltage output terminal should be short-circuited to ground to avoid electric shock by the residual voltage on the charged capacitor.
