Common faults and solutions of DC Hipot Test Set

Fault 1: The power switch has been turned on, but the digital display does not display


Solution: Check all power cords and fuse tubes of the DC high-voltage generator. If the fuse tube is damaged, replace it with a new one. Pay attention to the amperage marked next to it.


Fault 2: The power switch has been turned on and the digital display shows, but the high-voltage indicator light does not work, and high-voltage cannot be applied. This kind of failure can generally be divided into two situations: 1. The zero return light is on because some knobs are not turned back to the zero position. 2.


Other lights are on due to disconnection protection or grounding protection


Solution: (1) Turn the fine-tuning knob and the high-voltage output adjustment knob of the DC high-voltage generator back to the zero position in the counterclockwise direction, and the high-voltage can be added when the zero-return light is off.


(2) Choose a reliable ground wire and connect it, turn off the power supply, and restart the DC high-voltage generator.


(3) After connecting the cable between the high-voltage tower and the control box, turn off the power and restart the DC high-voltage generator. Or weld the welding heads at both ends of the cable, turn off the power first, and then restart it.


(4) Resolder the disconnected thread in the control box, turn off the power, and then restart it.


Common faults and solutions for DC high-voltage generators. Fault 3: Other working conditions of the machine are normal, but the protection starts before it reaches the rated output voltage. This failure can also be divided into two situations: 1.


The overcurrent light is on. 2. The overvoltage lamp lights up.


Solution: (1) Turn off the power and restart the DC high-voltage generator, paying attention to reducing its boost speed this time.


(2) Turn the overvoltage protection setting knob clockwise to the maximum position, turn off the power, and restart the machine.


Fault 4: All fault indicator lights are on


Solution: First solve the failure of the test product itself, and then restart the DC high-voltage generator.


Fault five: After solving the fault of the test product, the fault indicator is still on and high voltage cannot be applied.


Solution: Turn off the power switch of the DC high-voltage generator, restart it, and it will be able to boost the voltage.


Fault 6: Voltmeter numbers fluctuate greatly


Solution: Solder the disconnected aviation plug, 7-pin shielding net head and center shielding wire head.
