Overview
This instrument features three separate operating modes: discharge mode, charge mode, and activation mode. Depending on the battery's condition, it can test the power value of underperforming batteries, charge them with low continuous current, or set specific charge/discharge cycles for weak batteries. Through this process, the battery is activated and its capacity is restored.
The instrument includes software for uploading data to a PC for further analysis.
Activation Considerations
When a battery is in a sleep state with unactivated capacity, an activation device is required to restore it. Conventional activation testers are typically designed for single-cell testing only.
In practice, when customers report a faulty battery requiring activation, they generally use a dedicated activation device for single-cell activation, as this approach yields better results. While charge/discharge cycles can also be used, the activation effect is less effective compared to dedicated single-cell activation.
